The in-office consultation is the patient's opportunity to learn more about specific procedures, to ask questions, and ultimately feel comfortable about the decisions to be made. The consultation involves an in-depth discussion with Dr. Gumucio and his surgical nurse, Ginger Marler, about different options available, advantages and disadvantages of each, a discussion of the procedures, the healing times and the return to normal activities. In addition, the printed materials from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons are given to the patient for added information. Representative pre- and post-operative photographs are also available.

Procedures are never performed after just one consultation. The opportunity is always there to have as many meetings with Dr. Gumucio as necessary. It's always been our feeling that all questions should be answered prior to any procedure and not after the fact. Discussions regarding fees and payment procedures are carried out with the Patient Care Coordinator, Katie McLaughlin, at the initial consultation.
